The

Senior Accountant

will play a critical role in the financial management of the company. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing financial statements, and supporting the Finance Manager with financial analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES :Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).General Ledger Management : Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.Budgeting & Forecasting : Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and insight to support decision-making.Accounts Payable/Receivable : Review and approve accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.Audit Support : Prepare and coordinate documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.Tax Compliance : Assist with tax preparation, filings, and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and operations.Team Collaboration : Work closely with other departments and leadership, providing financial insight and support as needed.Other Duties : will be responsible for tracking vacations and sick time.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

Education : Minimum of Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldExperience : 5+ years of accounting experience.Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar), and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Knowledge : Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.
