MFC Quality Inspection Technician at Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Labora in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Quality Inspection Technician to work in our MFC Quality Control department. Our team works a 410 schedule located out of our Materials & Fuels Complex facility with every Friday off. You will apply technical knowledge to first line inspections and testing/oversight. Provide Inspector Certification activities to support the INL Inspector Certification Program. Perform Nondestructive Examination (NDE) examinations and technically collaborate across multiple fields including Engineering, Production Control and Maintenance.NE4-NE5 only. You will report to the manager for the MFC Quality Control Department. Responsibilities Include: Prior leak test level II and VT Level II or CWI Support other NDE methods as needed (MT, PT, and RT). Communicate with engineers and manufacturing personnel to provide test results and support process improvements. Perform technical reviews to maintain company level inspection procedures are accurate and correct. Perform in-process surveillances of complex wide program work to verify compliance with company quality program procedures. Present training and activities for Inspector Certification. Pursue personal development of knowledge necessary for effective performance. Receive instruction and guidance from a certified Level II or Level III. Minimum Requirements: Level 4: High School or equivalent and 6 years of NDE experience. Previous or current LT-2, VT-2, certifications. Leak Testing certification should include Mass Spectrometer, Pressure Change, and Bubble Testing experience. As applicable, maintain all required job-related exam and position qualifications. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'L' clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Ideal Candidate will have: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in NDT, or closely related curriculum with an NDT Certificate of Completion. Knowledge of NDE (MT, PT, VT, and ET). Sufficient technical knowledge to be qualified to properly perform specific standardizations, specific standardizations, specific NDT, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection according to written instructions. Job Information: The pay range for this position is $39.58 min - $67.28 max (overtime as needed at 1.5x hourly rate).
