Overview:
RN - Mental Health UnitAllen Hospital, Waterloo, IA$10K Sign-on BonusFull-time Days with weekend and holiday rotationThe MHU is a 21-bed adult inpatient unit accepting a wide range of diagnoses from depression and anxiety to schizophrenia and behavioral disturbances. All of our rooms are private and monitored 24/7 by camera. We follow a multidisciplinary team approach for each patient. The care team includes: psychiatrist, ARNP, RN, social work/mental health counselors, discharge navigator, occupational therapy services, patient care techs and safety techs.Responsibilities:To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care at Registered Nurse skill level, in collaboration with the Medical Plan of Care, with a minimum of assistance.To function as primary care leader, associate, or charge nurse so that optimum quality of patient care is maintained according to the philosophy and objectives of Allen Hospital.To exercise accountability responsibility, authority, autonomy, and act as a role model and resource person with expanded theory and expertise
