Lead Product Filler/Packer

Snelling Staffing is currently looking for an order filler for a bioscience company located in the Baton Rouge area. The position is responsible for packaging assigned products manually or through the use of machines to perform the tasks of filling, labeling, banding, tying, wrapping, marking, and packing containers. Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pay: $15-$17 per hour Responsibilities: Retrieve bulk materials and containers for the product to be packaged Load hopper or equipment to be used in the filling operation Troubleshooting when needed Insert or pour prescribed amount of product into each container Label and mark containers Reconciling inventory Record information in logbook Moving product to different areas of warehouse Requirements: MUST have familiarity with manual and automated material processing equipment as well as material measuring and/or weighing instruments NEED three years of work-related experience Ability to stand and lift, move, and manipulate objects of various size, shapes, and weight for extended periods of time. Will routinely lift 25 to 35 pounds at a time. May exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally.
