Position Overview:
The primary role of a Risk Management Analyst is to support key risk management practices through the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of such risks. This involves identifying potential risks, evaluating their impact and creating control mechanisms to minimize them. This second line of defense position requires analyzing data, sharing insights with stakeholders and enforcing risk management protocols. Strong analytical abilities, keen attention to detail, and effective collaboration are vital to excelling in this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
Challenges continuously various day-to-day risk management activities, business assessments and reporting.
Assists in the development of risk assessments and provides appropriate credible challenge as needed.
Support links between risk appetite, profile and performance metrics through the establishment of risk and business key risk indicators (KRIs)as well as key performance Indicators (KPIs) including monitoring reporting and breach remediation.
Provides support in the development and recording of board and committee materials.
Monitors business line's adherence to the risk management framework and escalates concerns when necessary.
Assists in managing and remedying issues while overseeing new or revised product changes and other business transformations.
Collaborates with management, peers and personnel to foster a strong risk culture, promote first-line risk ownership, enhance the function's effectiveness as a second line of defense and build connections with other risk teams and partner functions for cross-business initiatives. Supports issue management, oversees product changes, and business transformations.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
