Some procedures patients have undergone include total joint replacements, lumbar and/or cervical decompressions, fusions, and laminectomies. This unit also treats general med/surg patients and is capable of telemetry and ongoing cardiac monitoring. The exceptional care from the nursing team on this unit has led to a reputation for quick patient turnover and excellent patient education. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN to join a team that is active in shared governance, is involved in community outreach, and has created a highly engaged work environment.A caregiver in this position works 9:30AM - 1:30PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide direct nursing care.Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.Serve as a primary coordinator for all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).Internal candidates: one year of recent related nursing experience.External candidates: two years of recent related nursing experience.
