Job DescriptionThe Student Union AV Technician Level I is an entry level position designed to introduce interested students to live audio, video, and networked streaming systems. You will provide support for our facility's guest users and other production staff. Upon successful training, advancement opportunities exist to level II Production and III Lead technicians.
Primary ResponsibilitiesThis position provides sound, lighting, and video services for various productions and events in the Student Union/University Center. Other duties include providing technical support to guest users of the facilities. The technician is also called upon to troubleshoot and correct hardware, software, and network issues. Evening and weekend hours are required. This position reports to the Lead Technology Support Specialist.
QualificationsThis is an entry level position, previous experience with sound, video, lighting, networking, or PC repair not required, but are a plus. On the job training will be provided.
Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to go through a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.
