The
Transportation Driver
supports our mission and values by performing daily duties of resident transportation and vehicle care, per job standards, as directed by the Director of Housing in accordance with prescribed procedures and policies of the facility and Federal, State and local authorities, to ensure that quality nursing services are provided at all times.
What will I do in this role?Respects and shows kindness to all residents.Assures that vehicles are free of hazardous debris.Protects and maintains confidentiality of residents' information and residents' rights.Maintain the standard of nursing care and follow the policies and procedures of the facility.Reports all pertinent information to the Director of Housing and appropriate support staff.Protects and maintains all work areas in accordance with facility safety policies.Performs daily tasks in accordance with infection control and standard precaution policies and procedures.Follows policies and procedures related to body mechanics.Follows policies and procedures related to positioning, transfers, and mobility.Ambulates residents in accordance with individual plans of care.Daily task - schedules medical appointmentsToilets residents when out on appointmentsDresses in accordance with facility dress code policy.Participates in facility committees giving input.During down time perform duties assigned by supervisor.Clean vehicles inside and out as needed.Gas vehicles as needed.Oil changes at service centers as needed.Perform monthly safety check on all vehicles.Monthly cleaning of transportation wheelchairs and layback chair.What is required in this position?
