Transportation Accounting Manager

A client in the Chattanooga area is looking to hire an Accounting Manager that will oversee the accounting/financial functions for their Transportation division. This person will be responsible for overseeing three individuals. They will primarily assist with reviewing their work such as the journal entries, general ledger, close/audit, etc. In addition, they will handle all financial reporting such as cost reduction analysis, budget to actual analysis reporting, cash flow and tax reporting, inventory allowance reporting, variance analysis reporting, etc. They will coordinate with IT quite frequently to ensure that integration with financial systems is smooth and accurate as they are going from GreatPlains to Workday.

* Bachelors degree in Accounting
* 5-10 years of accounting experience, recent leadership experience
o Journal entry, GL, close, audit, etc
* Strong financial reporting experience -- cost reduction analysis, buget to actual analysis reporting, cash flow and tax reporting, inventory allowance reporting, variance analysis reporting, etc.
