Vaco Phoenix is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant for a top client in North Phoenix, AZ. This person must have experience working in the manufacturing industry and will be responsible for monitoring the general ledger, preparation of financial reports, as well as general accounting duties. This position is a fully onsite position, paying up to $85k/yr DOE and interviewing this week.
Job Duties Include:Balance sheet account analysis and accuracy of transactions affecting the general ledger, and various distribution journals (shop floor control, inventory control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer orders) in a manufacturing environmentPeriodic financial statements and related schedulesEnsure the accuracy and timeliness of account analyses and reconciliationsTimely preparation of journal entries and execution of the periodic closing processAble to effectively compile selective historical dataReview and understanding of Periodic Company Sales and Bookings reportsReconciliation of inventories held in-house and on consignment to othersCoordination with Payroll Administrator as requiredMonthly bank statement reconciliationsBusiness sales and use tax reporting for periodic filing with state government agenciesMaintaining fixed assets and appropriations schedules in agreement with the general ledger as requiredThe ideal candidate for this position:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required1-3 years' experience in a staff accountant roleProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel - vlookups, pivot tables, Word, and Outlook)Experience working with ERP systemsAbility to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of work productExcellent written and oral communication skills

the individual's skill sets, experience and training;licensure and certification requirements;office location and other geographic considerations;other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
