As the

Product Owner (PO)

for our Accounting and Finance product, you'll be a key player in shaping our product strategy and delivering value to our stakeholders. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable product backlog items, prioritize development efforts, and ensure alignment with our long-term goals.

Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a clear product vision aligned with company strategies and goals.Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and enhancements.Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to inform product decisions.Create, refine, and prioritize the product backlog to maximize value delivery.Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.Ensure the backlog is always ready for the next sprint planning session.Foster strong relationships with business teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and technology partners.Facilitate cross-departmental discussions to gather requirements and desired outcomes.Maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders on product progress and roadmap.Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master and development team to ensure smooth sprint execution.Balance competing priorities and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.Gather and analyze user feedback on IT releases to inform future product decisions.Implement and refine product metrics to measure success and guide decision-making.Continuously seek opportunities to improve product development.Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles.2+ years of experience in product management or as a product owner.Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, accounting software).Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into product requirements.Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling and analysis is a plus.Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.In-depth understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.Knowledge of financial technology trends and innovations in the accounting and finance space.Familiarity with audit processes and internal controls.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.Adaptability and openness to change, with a continuous learning attitude.Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build consensus among stakeholders.Experience in facilitating cross-functional meetings and workshops.Strong decision-making skills, balancing business needs with technical constraints.Candidates may be requested to complete position specific skills assessments.Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check.Working Settings:

Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, additional hours may be required depending on priorities.Based in the Purple Wave satellite office in Copart Towers, 14185 Dallas Pkwy #400, Dallas, TX 75254.In person training will be required at the Purple Wave Headquarters in Manhattan, KS.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Must be able to access various departments of a given location.Compensation:

The annual salary varies based on experience and qualifications. Salary paid bi-weekly.Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company's monthly revenue result and are paid on a "percent to plan" payout formula. (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).Monthly phone stipend in accordance with the Company's cell phone policy, currently $120/month.Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment.Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year. May vary to comply with state requirements.Eligible to participate in the Company Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) after 90 days of employment, with enrollment opportunities each May and November.
