Summary: Assisting with research, filing, data maintenance, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records. Performing account reconciliations and other administrative tasks as required. The internship will be for the Spring 2025 semester with the opportunity for extension well beyond that.
Location (Wilmington, NC / Remote):We have offices in Wilmington, NC and Austin, TX and while some positions are office based, we will also consider remote candidates in our preferred time zones of CST/EST.
Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end financial reportsDraft journal entriesHelp with accounts receivable and accounts payableReconcile balance sheet accounts, such as cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and sales taxRequirements:
Currently pursuing a business degree, with concentrations in accounting, finance, and/or economicsProficient in the Microsoft Suite of products, specifically Microsoft ExcelBasic understanding of financial and accounting practicesDetail oriented and accountableAbility to multitaskExcellent interpersonal skillsSound judgmentCan function as a member of a teamPerform other duties as required
