Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with state and local sales and use tax laws and regulationsThis role involves preparing and filing tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing guidance on tax-related mattersThe Senior Accountant will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and to support tax planning and audit defense initiativesPrepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returnsEnsure compliance with tax laws and regulationsProvide guidance and support to other members of the accounting teamResearch and analyze tax issues and provide recommendations to managementAssist with tax planning and forecastingManage relationships with external tax advisors and auditorsStay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulationsPerform internal auditsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;licensure and certification requirements;office location and other geographic considerations;other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
