Senior Information Technology Project Manager

Working closely with RGPs Enterprise Applications team the Senior IT Project Manager leads the Agile Scrum at Scale and Release Management of our Workday, Salesforce, Avature, and other supporting processes and systems. In this role, you will lead as both a scrum master and scrum of scrum master for various scrum teams. You will manage a team of project management resources and must be equally skilled executing project management work and leading and coaching other PM's. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of Agile principles, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.WHAT YOU WILL WORK ONRelease Planning and Coordination: Coordinate release planning sessions, backlog grooming, and sprint planning to ensure alignment with business goals and priorities.Agile Methodology Implementation: Lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and sprint planning meetings. Comfortable performing both as a team scrum master as well as a scrum of scrums master in scaled scrum ceremonies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the team.Team Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports. Give guidance to cross-functional teams comprising developers, testers, and other stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact scrum team project and/or sprint delivery. Collaborate with other scrum masters to identify cross functional risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges proactively.Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders at all levels. Provide regular status updates, progress reports, and demos to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the release cycle.Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions by collaborating with QA teams ensuring test plans meet objectives of sprints and epics. That test cases are clearly written with identified acceptance criteria.Resource Allocation and Planning: Manage direct report resources effectively to optimize productivity and utilization. Assist in navigating resource and priority challenges that may arise as a result of cross functional user stories.Documentation and Reporting: Help ensure the scrum team is maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation including release plans, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint backlogs.
