Job Description:

The

Staff Accountant(Practice)

will report to the

Senior Accountants

for our corporate and practice teams.

These positions will be responsible for performing the accounting functions including month-end close, revenue recognition, financial reporting, assisting with forecasting/budgeting, and providing monthly operating information.

Responsibilities

Work closely and proactively with the practice accounting team to ensure proper accounting, revenue recognition, and reporting at each of the Company's practicesOversee and manage the month-end close process including coordination with FP&A, practice accounting, and clinical practice leadersWork closely with corporate FP&A to produce Monthly Operating Reports for senior management, the Board, and practice leadershipEnsure financial records are maintained in accordance with US GAAPPreparing and reviewing ad-hoc internal and external financial reporting and analysisCoordinate external audits, working closely with the independent accounting firmCoordinate timely preparation and review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation activities, and financial reportingDevelop, document, implement and maintain the Company's accounting policies and proceduresResearch complex accounting issues and document technical accounting position papersIdentify areas of process improvement, recommend changes, and execute improvementsAdditional responsibilities will be assigned to high performing individualsKey Competencies

Accounting degree (with graduate degree preferred, but not required)0-4+ years of accounting experience (will hire recent college graduates with requisite coursework and strong GPA)Proven knowledge of GAAP, FASB, PCAOB, and SEC regulationsStrong knowledge of internal controls, best practices, and the ability to research and document accounting and financial topics requiredStrong excel skillsWorking knowledge of Workday or other ERP platforms is a plusActive CPA license or working toward CPA license requiredExperience or exposure to Healthcare is preferred but not required
