Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION:The RN Nurse Navigator is responsible for assisting prostate navigators with reviewing OUI prostate cancer patient charts with the emphasis of ensuring patients who medically qualify have been offered/discussed. Ordering necessary labs for Xofigo, Pluvicto, oral oncolytic medications to OUI IOD and various pharmacies (Xtandi, Zytiga, etc.). Continue to assist with Provenge collections and infusions. Assist with collecting and processing blood samples for genetic testing for Prostate Cancer patients. Ensure Bone Health treatment plans (Xgeva, Prolia) are being communicated and followed by patients. Following NCCN guidelines, ensure patients are imaged within guidelines and if outside of guidelines discuss with patient's primary provider and Physician Champion. Prepare and discuss patients at OUI's Advanced Therapeutics Panel (ATP).The RN Nurse Navigator is responsible for assisting patient navigators with reviewing OUI bladder cancer patient charts with the emphasis of ensuring patients who medically qualify have been offered/discussed. Sequestering various bladder cancer drugs, communicating with the scheduling team when patients can be scheduled and communicating with the business office to ensure insurance coverage. Administering bladder cancer therapies to patients under providers orders.
