Qualifications
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Conduct comprehensive analyses of the chargemaster and the related net revenue and payer reimbursement trends and present findings to senior management and recommend strategies for improvementMonitor and evaluate the net revenue impact of changes in healthcare regulations, reimbursement policies, and payer contracts.Generate and analyze reports related to chargemaster activities, including revenue impact assessments and compliance auditsEnsure the charging process is standardized throughout the health system and model recommended changes for revenue neutrality and the related net revenue impact from pricing changes.Evaluate/suggest charge optimization for supplies in relation to payer contracts.Work closely with clinical departments, billing, and finance teams to gather information on new services or changes to existing ones, ensuring all data is accurately reflected in the chargemaster.Review newly priced supplies for accurate charge development.Evaluate if the chargemaster is appropriately tiered or priced based on the complexity and cost of services provided.Review associated reimbursement by payer for bundled, panels, or charge explosions to ensure all services are appropriately paid as compared to cost.Regularly review if charges should be deleted due to inactivity.Communicate with clinical departments surrounding the results of chargemaster opportunities, verify all services being performed are charged, and work to implement improvements.Develop and maintain a charge capture/charge reconciliation analytics framework to identify lost charges on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.Support internal and external audits related to charging and reimbursement practices.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance - RequiredMaster's Degree- Preferred5 years Minimum experience in financial analysis, preferably within the healthcare industry - RequiredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) - State Licensing Board - Preferred
