Yard Goat Driver

summary Hello, Looking for an experienced, Class A CDL Driver with clean driving record to perform the duties of Yard Goat for Rain Bird sprinklers in the City of Azusa. In addition, the yard goat driver will also need sit down/stand up Raymond FKL experience. Must have two years tractor trailer experience with similar experience in last 12 months. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for drive and maneuver yard goat and trailers from dock to dock switching out trailers to keep receiving activities moving. Responsible for performing yard audits at beginning and end of shift Ensure that trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading Perform daily safety checks on yard truck and report any issues to management Maintain a clean and organized yard Responsible for performing pre- and post-trip inspections and submitting reports indicating truck conditions. Adhere to guidelines of safety-sensitive functions pertaining to job responsibilities within yard. Communicate with others including management to ensure efficient operations are being performed. Perform any other distribution material handling tasks when not operating yard goat, ie. operating sit down and reach forklifts including loading, unloading trucks and putting away materials in locations. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma Read, write and speak English Forklift experience Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Experience backing 48' to 53' trailers 2 years tractor-trailer experience with similar experience in the last 12 months Ability to work independently May substitute local for over-the-road experience. This position must pass pre-hire background and drug test.
