Responsibilities:- Daily administration and maintenance of database systems- Handling installations, upgrades, backups, and configuration- Collaborating with managers to address database system issues and capabilities- Limited design and programming tasks
Required Skills:- 5+ years of hands-on experience in MySQL database administration- Strong knowledge of AWS- Experience with database design, indexing, and optimization techniques- Proficiency in database performance tuning and troubleshooting- Knowledge of backup, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and managing stored procedures, triggers, and functions- Understanding of database security best practices, including user access control and data encryption- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
