ResponsibilitiesSaint Mary's Medical Group in Reno, NV

is currently seeking Hospitalist Physicians to join our esteemed Medical Group.

Position Details:

Will be employed under Saint Mary's Medical Group, an award-winning, hospital-owned multi-specialty group.

Inpatient Hospitalist (Rounding and Admissions)

Open for Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC)

Full-Time with Flexible Schedule

Total Shifts Required: 182 Shifts per year

Dayshift: 6am-6pm

Open ICU

Procedures preferred but not required.

Can start Immediately

Position in Reno, NV

Close to Lake Tahoe and Sacramento, CA

The State of Nevada does not have state income taxes

Duties and Responsibilities:

Be available for and respond to provide admission and management of unassigned patients as requested.

Coordinate all aspects of care for Hospital and Medical Patients referred by medical staff: admission, appropriate placement within the hospital, case management and effective utilization of appropriate resources, consultations with sub-specialists, timely and proactive discharge planning, coordination of care with primary care and consulting physicians and discharge including ensuring appropriate follow-up is arranged.

Function as consultants to all areas of the Hospital, including timely consultations to the Emergency Department, surgeons and other Medical Staff members on request, behavioral health units. etc.

During hours of scheduled hospital attendance, respond to all emergency calls, be available to respond to and provide professional services for emergencies on all inpatient, outpatient, and observation patients by request of medical staff or nursing management.

Complete and maintain adequate and proper medical records with respect to all patients examined or treated in accordance with all legal accreditation, regulatory and third-party payor requirements.
