(must be able to be the sole decision maker for the product and handle the product from end to end.).Experience in the retail industry, with knowledge of retail operations, sales and merchandising.Experience working with both Jira and Confluence.Experience with Data visualization tools, specifically with Tableau and Power BI

(need to know what the reports look like and understand the product vision.).Proficient in defining capabilities, developing features, and writing detailed user stories.Bachelors degree in computer science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business or related field.PLUSSES:Product Owner Certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and their data-related services.Prior experience working within a Data Engineering or BI team.SUMMARY:A top Insight Global client in Charlotte, NC is looking for a Lead Product Owner to join their team. The Lead Product Owner will work on multiple programs/projects simultaneously for the clients Data Engineering and BI team. The Lead Product Owner will act as the key decision-maker for the product on the scrum team, responsible for defining product vision, gathering and prioritizing requirements, and managing the product backlog to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product that meets customer needs and business objectives. The Lead Product Owner will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, development teams, architects and cross-functional teams to translate business and product requirements into clear and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.Additional responsibilities of this individual are shown below:Work closely with business to understand their high-level product requirements, translating them into clear and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria for the development & QA team.Develop strategies to extract functional business requirements from business units. Write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritize them for the development team.Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business needs. Continuously refine and prioritize user stories based on feedback and changing requirements.Work closely with the development team to plan and prioritize releases. Provide timely feedback and guidance to the development team to ensure successful product delivery.Review and accept developed user stories and features, ensuring they meet the defined acceptance criteria and quality standards.Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to guide the team and remove any impediments.Review and accept completed work to ensure it meets the defined acceptance criteria and aligns with the product vision.Provide QA testing support & coordinate with QA teams to conduct system testing. Attend the demo ceremonies to validate the functionality and accordingly accept or reject the test results.Lead requirements gathering sessions/meetings with functional business subject matter experts.Document all business, functional and technical requirements for development teams; this is inclusive but limited to Requirements Specification, Use Cases, user stories.Develop detailed process documentation documenting current and future state business and technical processes.Identify potential risks, dependencies, and challenges related to product development and delivery. Proactively address and resolve issues, ensuring smooth and successful product delivery.Participate in weekly meetings with scrum teams.Provide regular updates on product progress, risks, and issues. Prepare and present product updates, roadmaps, and release plans to leadership.Provide functional testing surge support with development teams as needed or required.Compensation:$67.00 - $73.00/hrExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
