An Accounting Manager is responsible for the accurate representation of the financial condition of the dealership, implements controls necessary for the proper conduct of the business, maintains accurate records, and establishes and maintains the data processing capabilities to accomplish the dealership's objectives. This person will perform other duties as assigned by the Group Controller and are not limited to the duties listed below.

A financial thought partner to the dealership; develop and maintain positive relationships with store leadership including both the GM and Department ManagersMaintain effective communication with General Manager, Controller, and Executive Management teamCommunicate risks and opportunities with operational leadersUnderstand and maximize benefits from manufacturers' incentive programs and payment structures, work with GMs to achieve results, ensure that the team is up to date on program rulesPrepare timely and accurate financial statements; monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations and reporting including, but not limited to, intercompany transactions and balances and reporting to manufacturersAnalyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems/processes for financial controls and performanceMonitor and analyze monthly operating expenditures against budget, and identify expense and gross profit opportunities.Maintenance of proper accounting schedules, chargebacks, adjustments, and balance sheet accountsAssist in the budgeting processAssist in audits (floor plan, sales tax, manufacturer) and year-end reviewEnsure all store transactions are processed timely, accurately, and by company policies and proceduresPromote a positive culture of accountability and continuous improvementAll other tasks/projects as assignedAutomotive industry experience (required)CDK Experience (preferred)Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or 5 years commensurate experienceStrong attention to detail and a sense of urgencyAbility to coordinate various activities simultaneously, excellent organizational and time management skills, and interpersonal skills.A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record is required
