We will link you with mentors, provide a positive and supportive working environment, and foster lasting professional relationships to help you launch your career and learn to thrive.Your life fits at GreerWalker.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare and review federal corporate (C and S) and multi-state tax returns, and partnership returnsPrepare and review basic and intermediate individual tax returnsPrepare adjusting journal entries for tax purposes.Respond to tax noticesPrepare tax technical memorandums and correspondenceCreate tax depreciation schedules including proper classification of assetsResearch complex tax issues using internal revenue code, treasury regulations and other relevant authorities/guidanceParticipate in client meetings and serve as the Engagement Lead on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverable development.Participate in the tax planning process, including preparing tax projections.Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax process and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews; perform in-charge role as neededReview compliance and other work performed by associates and assist in their career developmentPerform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnelAttend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.QUALIFICATIONS:3-4 years of tax preparation or reviewing experience in a public accounting or professional services firm is requiredExcellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to function well in a team setting and interact with professionals at all levelsSuperior client service focus.Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Integrity, dependability, and trustworthiness.Ability to succinctly communicate and document procedures performed.Ability to supervise other staff while maintaining multiple client engagements and competing priorities.Strong leadership, training and mentoring skillsStrong computer skills with general office use software and an ability to adapt to new software applications.Foreign language skills (particularly German) a plusEDUCATION and LICENSES:Bachelors degree in accounting.
