Senior Accountant

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Accountant to join one of our clients in the hospitality industry. The Senior Accountant will reconcile and generate reports for financial activity related to various accounting areas such as intercompany transactions, reservation/marketing activity, revenue accruals, payroll related tax transactions, debt, miscellaneous cash transactions, workers compensation/general liability insurance, lease accounting, legal accruals, revenue allocations, franchise reporting, ad hoc reports analysis of general ledger accounts, and special projects. This position reports to the Manager of Financial Accounting & Reporting and plays a critical role in ensuring that the analysis and accounting necessary to maintain the financial statements and accounting records are completed accurately and efficiently.
Day to Day:Research and produce position papers for accounting policy interpretationAssist in preparing financial statements, footnotes, and supplementary schedulesTake a leadership role in coordinating month end close processPrepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations including data analysis in conjunction with the month end close processDrive continuous improvement on processes and tools by championing efforts cross-functionally and within the team

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in general accounting or audit with strong organization skills and ability to support multiple workstreamsTechnical accounting knowledgeStrong proficiency with US GAAP, and other compliance regulationsAdvanced proficiency with ERP and productivity tools (Oracle, Excel, PowerPoint)CPA required
Nice to Have Skills & Experience- Public accounting experience according to IFRS- Oracle specific ERP expertise
