Founded in 1970, East Valley Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) whose services include providing personalized, affordable, high-quality medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health care through a community-based network within the East San Gabriel Valley and Pomona Communities. Our staff practices patient-centered care by serving each patient with a personalized care plan that meets their individual needs.Our patients have access to support services that include, nutrition, health education, case management, pharmacy, lab, and x-ray at our health center locations.East Valley serves the healthcare needs of uninsured and underserved individuals and families throughout our 8 health center locations.

Responsibilities and Functions:

Provides comprehensive support services to the Dental Director and Dental Team that ensures a professional, responsive, and effective experience with the organization as a whole.Provides sophisticated organization and calendar management. Prioritizes inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts with little guidance; makes judgments and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements.Administers correspondence manages incoming calls, and prioritizes phone messages, emails, and mail. Handles all calls and visitors with grace, sophistication, and professionalism.Anticipate the needs of the Dental Director and Dental Team and proactively offer appropriate, timely, and effective solutions.Function as liaison between the Dental department and outside entities, providing appropriate responses to inquiries about the department and the agency as required.Manages timecards and Time Off request processes for the Dental Director's direct reports.Maintains and tracks invoice receipts.Prepares accurate information on required daily dental appointment statistics reports and other requested reports, as needed.Data entry for Peer Review.Distribute reports, documents, and other materials to members of the management team as appropriate.Prepares presentations and/or reports for monthly provider, staff, Quality Improvement, and other meetings, as needed.Maintains documentation as it relates to licensing, permits, housekeeping tasks, infection control, etc.Assists with programmatic, financial, and administrative audits as needed.Interacts daily with employees to discuss standard business policy and procedures.Supports the Dental Team's prioritization of patient care by assisting in the management and handling of ancillary tasks, such as the reporting of facility issues, IT issues, purchasing/receiving issues, and other issues/concerns with the appropriate department.Participates in the safety committee meetings and other meetings as directed.Takes notes during meetings as requested.Assists in onboarding new employees.Other duties as assigned.Requirements and Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required.A minimum of two years experience in an office environment performing a similar level of work is required.Prior healthcare experience preferred.Bilingual, Fluent in English, Spanish required.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure without extensive supervision.Advanced writing skills to compose detailed correspondences.Understanding and experience with Electronic Health Records are preferred.

DOE: $25.77 - $31.79
