A luxury residential real estate and property management firm in Las Vegas, NV is looking to add a Senior Account to their growing accounting department. The Senior Accountant s day-to-day will consist of managing and overseeing various accounting functions, providing financial reporting to various department heads, and offering managerial support to the rest of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, able to work both independently and collaboratively, and a strong understanding of accounting principles applicable to property management accounting.
Senior Accountant Requirements:
5+ years of relevant accounting; property management experience is a mustBachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA certification preferredThorough knowledge of GAAP and accounting principlesProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Real Page, cloud-based) and Advanced Microsoft ExcelStrong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of integrity and ethical standardsPrior experience in a leadership role preferredThe office is in Las Vegas, NV and the position is 100% onsiteSenior Accountant Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements and consolidated reportsOversee month-end and year-end close processesAssist in preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholdersAnalyze financial reports and present findings to managementConduct cash flow reviews and manage financial liquidityUpdate fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculationsMonitor financial data to identify trends and areas for improvementDevelop and implement accounting policies and procedures, train and support accounting staffAssist in budget and forecast preparationEnsure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax filingsSenior Accountant Benefits:
