This position allows for travel among our three endoscopy centers located throughout the Treasure Valley: downtown Boise, Meridian, and our newest location in Nampa. We are a fast-paced, team-oriented ambulatory surgical center dedicated to providing exceptional patient care throughout their endoscopic procedures. We offer staff an exciting and rewarding work environment in the specialized field of GI with on-the-job training for the endoscopy technician position. Job Duties and Responsibilities*Assist the physician and procedure room nurse with any needs before, during, or after an endoscopic procedure.*Performs care and maintenance of automated endoscope re-processors and GI endoscopes, including high-level disinfection.*Collect and record patient data when assisting with admission, recovery, and discharge of patients within the endoscopy center, excluding physical assessment and IV start. *Performs inventory and re-stocking of supplies used in the endoscope reprocessing, procedure room, and patient bays. * Provide a safe environment for the patient.Qualifications and Skills* High School Diploma or equivalent* Accepting applications from Medical Assistants, CNAs, or EMTs* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred* Basic Life Support Certification * Computer experience* Experience in gastroenterology preferredBenefits*No call, no weekends, and no major holidays. *Full-time employees are insured under IGA's medical and dental plans at no cost to the employee. *Life insurance plan provided by IGA at no cost*EAP provided*Vision, STD, LTD, accidental insurance, and supplemental life insurance are also offered to all full-time employees.*Vacation time: 80 hours of vacation accrued in the first year. 64 additional hours of sick/personal each year*Paid Bereavement Leave and Jury Duty*7 paid holidays per year (minimum)*401(k) Retirement plan-IGA contributes 5% of your wage.
