We're seeking a

Senior Accountant

to join our growing team in

Tampa, FL

on a

hybrid

basis.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Prepares journal entries, reviews general ledger and related financial statements for reasonableness within set deadlines Accumulates and analyzes information for the preparation of financial statements, ledgers, and reports on a monthly basis within set deadlines Prepares and/or reviews monthly bank reconciliations for bank accounts and addresses reconciling items in a timely manner Assists in preparation of annual budget and performs analysis of related data as needed Prepares month-end reports and reconciliations Prepares monthly accrual journal entries for expenses Responsible for general operation of corporate accounting system(s) Assists with preparation of audit schedules Reviews and analyzes general ledger account balances Answers inquiries from internal and external customers Verifies accuracy of accounting data, and makes recommendations for corrections Provides ad-hoc training and ongoing assistance to subordinates and new staff Write and maintain procedures manual for corporate accounting and includes design of workflow and procedures for accounting clerks Special projects as necessary Other duties as assigned WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in an accounting or financial role. Proficient with MS Office Suite Products (Outlook, Excel, Word) Industry software experience a plus Insurance background a plus Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Good analytical abilities. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality WHAT WE OFFER:
