We're seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join our growing team in
Tampa, FL
on a
hybrid
basis.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Prepares journal entries, reviews general ledger and related financial statements for reasonableness within set deadlinesAccumulates and analyzes information for the preparation of financial statements, ledgers, and reports on a monthly basis within set deadlinesPrepares and/or reviews monthly bank reconciliations for bank accounts and addresses reconciling items in a timely mannerAssists in preparation of annual budget and performs analysis of related data as neededPrepares month-end reports and reconciliationsPrepares monthly accrual journal entries for expensesResponsible for general operation of corporate accounting system(s)Assists with preparation of audit schedulesReviews and analyzes general ledger account balancesAnswers inquiries from internal and external customersVerifies accuracy of accounting data, and makes recommendations for correctionsProvides ad-hoc training and ongoing assistance to subordinates and new staffWrite and maintain procedures manual for corporate accounting and includes design of workflow and procedures for accounting clerksSpecial projects as necessaryOther duties as assignedWHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceA minimum of 3-4 years' experience in an accounting or financial role.Proficient with MS Office Suite Products (Outlook, Excel, Word)Industry software experience a plusInsurance background a plusStrong interpersonal and organizational skills.Good analytical abilities.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentialityWHAT WE OFFER:
