Job Title: Quality Manager

Location: Somerset, New Jersey (On-Site)

Overview: Our client is a leader in innovative packaging solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Manager to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. This role is essential for driving our commitment to quality and continuous improvement across our operations. The Quality Manager will oversee a team of 7-10 direct reports, focusing on talent development, quality culture implementation, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Oversee and manage a team of 7-10 direct reports.
  • Create and implement career development plans for team members.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and supportive team environment to develop talent internally.

Quality Management:

  • Implement and drive a strong quality culture throughout the organization.
  • Define and establish quality systems, processes, and procedures in line with industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and monitor key quality metrics and use data to drive improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards.

Process Development:

  • Work closely with the production team to develop and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of new capital equipment (CAPEX) to enhance production capabilities.
  • Support the production team in the commissioning and validation of new equipment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between the quality and production teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on quality-related topics.
  • Engage with suppliers and customers to address quality concerns and drive improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is Required within STEM functions or within Management.
  • Past experience in a formal quality management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and talent development.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, processes, and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with CAPEX processes and new equipment implementation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
