Junior Financial Analyst

Insight Global is looking for a Jr. Financial Analyst for a fast-growing off-price retailer. The Jr. IT Financial Analyst will be the point of contact for financial management of capital and expense activities for multiple IT portfolios and provide ongoing financial support for the overall IT organization. The IT Jr. Financial Analyst will report to the IT Sr. Finance Manager and will partner closely with IT Leadership, external business partners as well as various Finance functions across the organization. The IT Jr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing monthly forecasting, monthly financial close, variance reporting of spend against target and provide executive level updates on financial performance against budget.

In addition, the Jr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing ad hoc analysis and support for the IT Leadership team. This includes providing in depth financial reporting and modeling highlighting key financial risks and opportunities. They will partner closely with IT Finance leadership to develop financial models in support of financial deliverables such as the IT 5 Year LRP and annual budgets.

Required Skills & Experience

1-3 years experience as a Financial Analyst (within a financial analysis and planning group)
-Experience managing cost center financials
-Managing CAPEX portfolios team
-Budgeting, LRP, month end forecasting and close, expected to know it and have responsibilities from monthly, quarterly, annual basis
-Strong Excel and presentation skills, as well ability to learn multiple new back end software applications
-Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting methodologies
-Strong general ledger and accounts payable research and reconciliation experience, and complete understanding of debits and credits and accrual based accounting
-Strong analytical ability; must be able to synthesize large amounts of data, be able to error check and reconcile own work and be able to design analysis to answer specific questions.
-Strategic planning experience; ability to apply that thinking to the 5-year budget planning process.
-Strong experience with FPNA, monthly forecast and close, annual budgeting, and strategic planning
-Leadership level collaboration, managing financials for a number of different portfolio heads, comfortable building relationships with people at the Executive level.
