Summary:

Direct and coordinate activities of material transaction within the Company. Responsible to oversee material movement while meeting all requests for material transports and accuracy throughout the facility. Manage Material handlers' workflow to optimize production material needs, inventory transactions, and receiving.

Primary Duties:

Develop and evaluate improvements in operational and maintenance procedures, policies, and/or methods in material movement activities.

Increase productivity through improving existing methods related to supplying operations.

Increase inventory accuracy through reducing lost or damaged inventory, inaccurate counts, and material handling.

Work with Supply Chain to identify any Vendor Compliance Discrepancies upon receiving of in-bound product.

Advise and document solutions to correct inventory discrepancies.

Supervise the receiving of incoming raw materials and distribution of items ensuring accuracy of shipment and counts and is appropriately assigned to proper locations for put away.

Monitor timing of all material inventory needs with Production Supervisors.

Review production schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled production dates to plan department operations.

Directly supervise and plan team responsibilities of Material Handlers.

Directly supervise and plan team responsibilities of Receiving Clerks.

Continuously review pick discrepancies to ensure resolution and turnaround time.

Record, monitor and communicate processing errors; identify source of errors and suggest remedies for future error elimination.

Generate Location Replenishment to ensure product is readily available for use.

Monitor component stock and generate pull from outside warehouse.

Essential Duties:

Ensure all employees are properly trained in use of equipment and raw materials handling to meet safety compliance.

Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.

Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.

Experience:

Associates degree in relevant field of study from an accredited college or university preferred.

Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing and inventory control environment.
