Req #4517Friday, October 4, 2024JOB SUMMARYSr. CI Specialist is responsible for driving sustainable continuous improvements in the facility by delivering breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. The Sr. CI Specialist works closely with Plant Leadership and hourly employees to achieve results. This position requires strong technical Lean Manufacturing and hands-on leadership skills.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLeads and facilitates Point and full week Kaizen events to drive sustainable improvements.Works closely with Plant Leadership to:Develop and execute improvement action plans.Build an employee engaged work environment.Develop tracking tools and measures to support CI initiatives.Develop business case justification for projects and initiatives.Leverage resources and share best practices across all facilities.Provide and teach CI tools to CI and Non-CI employees.Establish and drive productivity pipeline roadmaps across departments and facility.Track and analyze the CI initiatives.Responsible for managing multiple projects at the same time.Ensure the facility implements and maintains Continuous Improvement initiatives within the facility.KEY COMPETENCIESSkilled in:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong self-confidence.Strong will to drive change.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with autonomy.Accurate, detail-oriented and maintain the utmost confidentiality.Ability to:Effectively present information to employees, top management, public groups and/or board of directors.Communicate in English to give and acknowledge instructions/problems.Add, subtract, multiply and divide in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Write routine reports and correspondence.Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form.Work well with others in stressful situations and meet deadlines as necessary.Handle multiple priorities and tasks.Exhibit excellent keyboarding, record keeping and follow-up skills.Work in a fast-paced environment, while at the same time making sound decisions.Drive change and sustain improvements.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.Two (2) or more years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.Two (2) or more years of CI project leadership and Kaizen event experience is required.Strong communication, MS Excel and computer skill set.Demonstrated experience of teaching and training of CI.Collaborative and engaging with all audience levels.TPM/Kaizen/Agile or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification a plus.#LI-MA1Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Downers Grove, IL, we are a world-class contract manufacturer producing wholesome baked goods, snacks and packaged foods for many of the world’s leading food companies.
