Read more at www.dsv.comLocation: USA - Atlanta, 3705 Wilson RdDivision: RoadJob Posting Title: Carrier Sales Representative, Drayage, Road USTime Type: Full TimeSummaryThe Carrier Sales Representative, Drayage is an integral part of the Road US team’s freight brokerage operations and is responsible for securing the carriers and drivers representing DSV to our customers. They assist with the building and development of relationships with carriers in order to supply our customers the best customer service. They ensure that correct information is provided to carriers in order to facilitate movement, while accurately tracking various shipment pick-ups and deliveries to their final delivery destination.Duties & ResponsibilitiesHandles dispatch operations with carriers and drivers.Tracks shipments from pickup through delivery so that accurate, up-to-date information can be provided and communicated to Account Managers.Obtains carrier paperwork in order to close out shipments in a timely manner.Has daily contact with carriers to determine availability while negotiating transportation rates.Regularly monitors market pricing and adjusts pricing to carriers as needed.Fully establishes carrier relationships in order to effectively support business.Maintains and develops relationships with carrier accounts.Provides consistent and exceptional customer service levels to carriers.Researches new carriers within the market, generates leads, and fosters new carrier relationships.Studies and understands market trends, overall trends, as well as Seasonal.Executes problem resolution; including identifying issues, applying critical thinking to determine the best course of action, and implementing effective solutions.Performs other duties and projects as assigned.Minimum Required QualificationsHigh School diploma.1 year experience in a logistics, brokerage, or customer service field.1 year experience in carrier sales experience, with a focus in drayage.Strong understanding of drayage operations, including transportation modes, regulations, and industry practices.Skills, Knowledge & AbilitiesProficient with all Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.Solid analytical experience in Excel required.Experience with transportation management systems.Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others.Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results.Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.Driven, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.Ability to build strong relationships.Strong prioritization skills, multi-tasking skills, and works with a sense of urgency.High attention to detail and ability to multitask.Strong organizational skills.Proficiency in using a Windows-based computer.Great phone presence and effective interpersonal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications3 years industry experience.3 years experience in carrier sales experience, with a focus in drayage.Spanish (verbal).Physical Demands
