Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.HDR is seeking an experienced Senior Water Project Manager to join our Water Business Group in our Illinois/Indiana locations of Springfield or Indianapolis. In this position, you will support the growth and delivery of HDR’s drinking water, wastewater, and water resource management services in Illinois and Indiana markets.As the Senior Water Project Manager, you will help to promote the advancement of business development strategies, pursuit of new clients and new projects; maintain and strengthen existing client relationships; provide project management and technical expertise for key projects; and support staff development.In this role, we'll count on you to:Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out)Responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staffProduce and coordinate several projects concurrentlyEstablish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsConduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholdersCoordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on scheduleTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and scheduleWork with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviewsImplement QA/QC proceduresSupervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project ManagersPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be a plus)Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skillsLocal candidates are preferredPMP certificationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related fieldA minimum of 10 years experienceMaintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experienceDemonstrated experience with leading diverse teamsCommitted to quality, improvement and HDR valuesActively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brandAbility to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group directors, technical directors and marketing managersAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
