We are seeking an experienced

Team Lead, Software QA

with a strong background in the healthcare industry to lead our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will ensure that all software products are thoroughly tested, meet regulatory compliance, and align with industry best practices while reporting to the Director of QA and Test Automation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare processes, industry regulations (HIPAA, FDA, etc.), and quality standards relevant to healthcare software (DICOM, HL7, etc.).

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers in the testing of healthcare software applications.

Develop, implement, and maintain QA processes and standards to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance.

Collaborate with product development, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure testing covers all necessary healthcare regulations and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, HL7, etc.).

Design and execute test strategies for healthcare applications, including functional, non-functional, and security testing.

Ensure thorough testing of healthcare-related software integrations, including EHR/EMR systems, patient portals, and medical devices.

Monitor and report on key quality metrics, driving continuous improvement in test coverage, efficiency, and defect detection.

Manage the automation of tests, especially for regression testing, using industry-standard tools.

Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations, and lead efforts to secure patient data.

Manage the QA budget, resources, and timelines for all healthcare software projects.

Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance assessments related to software quality.

Stay up to date on healthcare industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that could impact software testing.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Health Informatics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a Lead role.

Proven experience in the healthcare domain with knowledge of healthcare systems, regulations, and compliance standards (HIPAA, FDA, etc.).

Strong experience with QA methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., Agile, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).

Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, TestComplete, JUnit) and scripting.

Hands-on experience with performance and load testing tools like Jmeter or any related tools.

Familiarity with healthcare-specific software, such as Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.

Experience working with cloud-based healthcare solutions and ensuring secure handling of patient data.

Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

Experience in testing medical devices and their associated software.

Knowledge of healthcare analytics and AI-driven healthcare solutions.

Experience in Selenium, Playwright, TestComplete, Jmeter, CI/CD pipelines.

Certifications such as Certified Software Quality Manager (CSQM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

AWS Cloud Practitioner.

This position will work a Remote schedule. When working remotely, workers must be self-motivated, possess excellent time management, and be highly organized. Reliable internet connection is a must!

ACR is committed to a total rewards compensation philosophy that includes base salary in addition to our full suite of comprehensive benefits. ACR’s goal is to pay competitively and equitably. A reasonable estimate of the annual compensation range for this position is $106,400 – $149,000.
