Description:

10 years minimum of directly applicable experience.

Proven working experience as purchasing manager, agent or officer.

Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.

Interest in market dynamics along with business sense.

A knack for negotiation and networking.

Working experience of vendor management software.

Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures.

Solid judgement along with decision making skills.

Strong leadership capabilities.

Strong Computer Skills.

Familiarity and/or experience with ERP systems as a management tool.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, demanding, and exciting technology environment.

Strong work ethic and team player attributes.

BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration, or equivalent.

Specific Functions of the Purchasing Manager:

Identifying requirements for goods, materials and services.

Identifying reliable suppliers.

Price negotiations.

Comparison of delivery terms.

Establishing order quantities.

Writing requests for bids and awarding supply contracts.

Supply chain management.

Inventory control and management.
