Find your future with us.Title: Quality Inspector - Temp (Entry level)Job ID: 99276Location: Miami, FL.Job Description/Position Overview:This position requires to work onsite 100%.Export Control:The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Position Summary:Verifies basic product conformance to design requirements. Provides objective evidence of results. Performs auditing, surveillance, and monitoring. Identifies and documents discrepancies using non-conformance system. Segregates and controls non-conforming items. Reviews rework dispositions. Assists in product reviews with internal customer during product or process verification.Under direct supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, check special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Lift and carry cartons weighing up to 35 lbs. and manage cartons in excess of 35 lbs. utilizing available safety tools.Places parts in proper location after identifying and verifying part numbers.Uses a utility cart, identifies cartons by part number, uses a computer or laptop, cart, cycle counts product, hand scanner and PC.Receive parts and disburse to proper bins.Matches paperwork to box and prepares orders for billing / shipping.Support reaching Departmental & Company Key ResultsPerforms other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.Conducts Dimensional Inspections per Design record and documented AQL levels.Proofreads paperwork for traceability for part number, lot number accuracy and test requirements before scanning into Cardex (ERP) system.Maintains certification files and place in banker boxes for storage.Complete the on-hold process, including managing events in Cardex (ERP), and escalation to Purchasing.Works with internal groups (Sales, Quality, Purchasing) to resolve Certification document issues.Calls manufacturers for missing or illegible certification documentation.Scanning of certifications, packing slips, test reports and pertinent documents associated with the item being received with control number into Cardex system.Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Standards. Disposition and control on non-conforming product.Assist in internal, customer and third-party audits. Identify and communicate opportunities to increase Inspector productivity.Purge material in Warehouse for reported customer escapes, expired shelf-life material, and verification of product integrity.Manage internal rejections and Return to Vendor (RTV) process.Assist with the on-hold process.Works with internal groups (Sales, Accounting, Quality, Purchasing) to resolve issues.Call vendors to obtain required information (RMA, Certs, Shipping method).Move Vendor product for return to a location in Bond cage and scrap material and adjust out of Cardex System.Send inventory out for outside processing: i.e., re-lube, testing, etc.Input Inspection results into Internal database.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)1-2 years of related work experienceor an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experienceFluent in English, reading, writing and verbal communication.Equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experienceRequired to pass documented color and near vision exam.Detailed oriented, well organized, self-motivated and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Able to read, write and speak English fluently.Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite and use of office equipment and computersStrong analytical, organizational, and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of AS9100 RequirementsUnderstanding of Six Sigma / team conceptsPrevious aerospace inspection experienceStrong inspection knowledge with use of Calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and smart scopeAbility to read blueprints.DFAR ExperiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Relocation:Relocation assistance is not negotiable benefit for this position.
