Project Kuiper Overview

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world, helping to close the digital divide.

Position Overview

The Project Kuiper team is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager with experience in ASIC/SOC development, from architecture to pre-production stages. The role will interface with cross-functional engineering and program/product management teams to develop ASIC/SOC solutions for Satellites and Ground equipment/terminals.

Key Job Responsibilities

In this role you will:Collaborate with engineering leaders (ASIC/SOC leads) to create project execution plans for ASIC/SOC development.Work with ASIC, communication system, EE, and software teams to define ASIC bring-up readiness and test plans.Work with product/program management lead to ensure that ASIC/SOC development meets schedule, cost, and quality requirements.Drive engineering project execution, make technical trade-off recommendations, understand technical challenges, enable solutions, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues.Collaborate with architecture, hardware, software, firmware, packaging and PCB teams on ensuring cross-functional deliverables are identified and tracked.Work with external IP, Fabs, OSAT silicon services and partners to complete project execution on time.

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of technical product or program management experience.4+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.3+ years of software development experience.5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

A Day in the Life

You must be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, SOC/IP design methodologies, and techniques for all phases of the project life-cycle. The candidate should have experience working through various design phases of Silicon development.

About the Team

5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market.
