Significant investment in infrastructure and automation ensures AEC is positioned to maximize that value, offering the right processes to meet our customer’s needs.The Senior Master Scheduler/Planning Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule to ensure that customer demand is met on time and in full. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, including production, program management, procurement, and supply chain, to optimize production planning and resource allocation. This position includes leading a team of planners/schedulers in this effort. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of driving continuous improvement in planning processes.Key Responsibilities:Master Production Scheduling:

Develop and maintain the master production schedule based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.Balance production capacities, inventory levels, and customer requirements to optimize production efficiency and on-time delivery.Monitor and adjust the schedule to address production delays, supply chain disruptions, or changes in customer demand.Provide prioritization of workload throughout production.Lead site-wide integrated business, labor, and production capacity planning efforts to align production schedules, resource allocation, and strategic objectives, ensuring optimal utilization of manufacturing capabilities and meeting customer demand.

Planning and Coordination:

Work closely with production, programs, procurement, and supply chain teams to align resources and materials with production needs.Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to manage lead times and communicate delivery schedules.Ensure alignment between short-term production plans and long-term business objectives.

Inventory Management:

Manage inventory levels to meet customer requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.Implement and monitor safety stock levels, reorder points, and lead times to ensure material availability.

Continuous Improvement:

Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in the scheduling process.Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement process improvements in planning and scheduling.Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for production planning and inventory management.

Systems and Tools:

Utilize advanced planning and scheduling software to create and maintain the master schedule.Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within the ERP system to reflect real-time production and inventory statuses.Drive the adoption of best practices and new technologies in production planning.

Team Leadership and Development:

Supervise and mentor planning staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.Foster a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and continuous learning.Ensure the team’s alignment with organizational goals and strategies.

Qualifications:Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. Or actively pursuing degree.Experience:

5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proven experience in managing a team and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced planning and scheduling software.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Certifications:
