Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/28/2024 Duration: 18 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunities Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - MS/Tele 4C Shift : Variable D/N 12x3, 36 hours per week Length : 18 Weeks Requirements : NH / Compact License Must have a minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience Telemetry experience Chest tubes, Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone, Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients, Trachs/Laryngectomies, Complex wounds, Central Lines – care and maintenance and blood draws BLS RN Patient ratios: days: 1:4 nights 1:536 bed adult surgical unit that cares primarily for trauma patients and acute care surgical patients. This unit does have 2 negative pressure rooms that can serve our COVID population. This is a very busy unit where rehabilitating and supporting our patients needs is our highest priority. The most common diagnosis on the unit; Traumas including: spinal cord injuries(new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries occurring as a result of a trauma. Acute Care Surgical diagnosis: hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, cholecystectomy. Travelers need to have experience on a fast pace medical surgical unit preferably with Level I Trauma center experience but serval years at a Level II Trauma center is acceptable.
