What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):Lead the development of high-quality proposals for funding from institutional donors and other organizationsCoordinate proposal processes to ensure timely submission while meeting donor requirements and organizational standardsServe as a proposal coordinator or lead writer, integrating inputs from staff and partners into cohesive proposalsTrain and mentor staff and local partners to enhance their proposal development and fundraising skillsSupport senior management in cultivating relationships with institutional donors and stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):Bachelor’s degree in international development, international relations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferredMinimum of five years of international development experience, with at least three years in a developing countryFluent in English, with proficiency in FrenchWillingness to travel up to 50%Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):Experience with USAID RFP and RFA funding mechanismsExceptional writing skills with a strong command of English grammar and AP styleDemonstrated experience in leading and producing competitive proposals in relevant programming contextsFamiliarity with institutional donor regulations and policiesExperience in staff development and local partner capacity strengthening
