About the Role:
The Sales Manager will oversee and lead the activities of the Sales Department. They will be responsible for executing company goals and objectives by professionally presenting the company, its products, and programs to qualified customers and prospects within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Hires and trains department employees (sales coordinator, comfort consultant, plumbing sales, estimator, etc.)
Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local sales managers
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Provides leadership to the sales team
Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met
Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets
Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts
Assigns territories and sets quotas for sales teams
Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs
Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations
Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies
Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses
Acts as company representative at trade association meetings
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company requirements
Must remain informed of current industry knowledge
Must have general sales skills
Demonstrated ability of sound customer service techniques, which include follow through on all matters of sales
Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with fellow associates, external customers, and assist a wide range of individuals in a variety of functions
A team player
Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Well organized and outstanding interpersonal skills
Flexible hours: ability to assist in on-call and after hours needs from customers and/or sales team
Interpersonal Qualifications:

Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities to improve things both big and small.
