Position Summary

The Territory Account Manager acts as the factory representative who facilitates the sales, marketing and applications of Banner products within a regional territory based in Greater Hartford, CT, Springfield, MA, Worcester or Greater Boston.

This position reports to the Northeast Regional Sales Director.

What You’ll Be Doing

Evaluates and monitors territory performance and identifies new business opportunities.

Works with regional and corporate resources to develop and close opportunities.

Promotes a wide variety of industrial automation products.

Develops and implements a territory sales plan to achieve sales growth targets.

Manages local accounts and provides technical support.

Maintains the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

Collaborates with the sales teams and management of our industrial automation distributors to develop and implement strategic sales plans.

Maintains open lines of communication with the corporate office regarding territory concerns and progress.

Required

Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering or related area

Previous experience in a customer facing role (Inside Sales, Sales Support, Applications Engineering, etc.)

Ability to travel to customer or other relevant locations in an assigned territory

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related area with 1-5 years of experience in a sales position preferred

Strong background in industrial automation (sensor, motion control and/or PLC preferred)

Solution selling along with management-level selling

Ability to manage multiple sales channel partners

In-depth knowledge of the local market

What to Expect at Work

Physical Demands

Sit for up to 8 hours per day

Exposed to a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day

Utilize a computer mouse, keyboard, computer, and other standard office equipment

Required to talk or hear frequently

Ability to travel by car to customer sites frequently

Working Environment

Field position working on-site at customers, from your car, and from your home depending on the day.

Exposure to various manufacturing, warehousing or related industrial locations.
