About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the 780th MI BDE, 782D MI BN serving as a Cryptologic Cyberspace Intelligence Specialist and conducting digital network intelligence analysis in support of Army, Joint, and National intelligence requirements.

Major Duties
Leveraging Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and information derived from a variety of computer network defense resources, including but not limited to, sensor data, system alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, and host system logs.
Performing preliminary and advanced analysis to establish target identification and activity patterns, malware and malicious tradecraft, and threats to military networks, information, systems, and communications.
Supporting the planning and targeting processes with digital network and multi-disciplined intelligence analysis and reporting on foreign computer network capabilities and vulnerabilities.
Identifying, reporting, and maintaining intelligence information to support deliberate and crisis action planning and targeting processes.
Evaluating attempts to penetrate, exploit, or disrupt military networks.
Assessing and reporting on the full range of threat actors and capabilities.
Planning, preparing, and executing Army and Joint training and exercises.
