Responsibilities In Home Therapy Referral and Intake Coordinator Opportunity - Masters Level Fuller Hospital is a 109-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Massachusetts providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. Fuller Hospital also provides a less intensive Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) to patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. About The Position The Referral and Intake Coordinator is responsible for intake and referral management and utilization for the In-Home Therapy (IHT) and Therapeutic Mentoring (TM) Programs. The IHT and TM programs provide therapeutic services for children and adolescents up to age 21 in the Southeast region of MA. Referral and admissions coordination will include coordinating all aspects of the admissions process for the IHT and TM Programs. This includes assigning cases to our clinicians, conducting telephone referrals, making determinations regarding admission and developing strong relationships with community resources in order to increase agency visibility and referrals. In addition to referral tasks, the referral and Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing and obtaining insurance authorizations for the programs and handling any insurance related issues as they arise. The individual in this position is the first point of contact with referral sources, the clients and families we serve and our insurance providers. So the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships is a must Referral and Admissions Responsibilities: Develops and implements admission processes and procedures including but not limited to: Assigning cases and maintaining data on clinician availability Admitting client to facility via MS4 system and preparing electronic intake portfolios for clinicians Obtaining initial authorizations and coordinating services between IHT, TT&S and/or TM staff. Conduct telephone screenings for all referrals to determine if client meets medical necessity requirements and obtain additional information that is required to complete verification of benefits or completion of referral. Refer families, who have provided consent, to alternative treatment providers/ agencies when appropriate Update online MABHA database to maintain transparency to other agencies regarding waitlist times for all programs as well as any openings that might be available for services Responsible for program phone on a rotating basis Maintain waitlist as well as referral log on a daily/ weekly basis as needed and follow up with waitlisted clients bi-weekly. Develop and maintain professional relationships in the community in order to strengthen and expand referral sources for the IHT/ TM programs. Assist the admin team with alternate administrative tasks, when necessary, including but not limited to reviewing billing and paperwork submissions, compliance initiatives, filing and tracking data, and clinical supervision (if licensed and applicable). Utilization Reviews for the IHT and TM programs will include: Maintain a tracking system for insurance authorizations Complete insurance re-authorizations with various payers Develop contacts with insurance payers to address any issues that arise Contact various insurance plans to identify eligibility of members for CBHI and BHCA services Address and solve various insurance issues that arise.
