The Sales & Service Assistant DOT position will assist the service team by helping deliver Ben E. Keith Beverages product to customers' retail locations. This position will be responsible for:Helping verify the accuracy of each order.Filling cooler windows and back stock.Rotating product and ensuring a great delivery experience by picking up all cardboard and trash.Completing all necessary paperwork and documenting activities.Building healthy business relationships and establishing good communication with our retail customers.Organizing and refilling backstock, coolers, beer shelves and displays.Counting, filling, and condensing back stock and retailer shelf inventory.Safely unloading orders at customer locations with the aid of a hand truck (dolly), manual or electric jack.Counting and verifying order completeness with customers; obtaining customer signatures and payments.Checking in products and pallets upon return to the warehouse, ensuring the load sheet is properly completed.Completing paperwork including the deposit of checks and money orders to be turned in to the cashier.Refueling the truck at the end of the day.Communicating with sales staff about observed opportunities or challenges.Ensuring company equipment is in safe, working condition; reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.Building displays as required.Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck; documenting and reporting any necessary attention required.Performing job duties in a variety of settings (grocery, convenience, bar, etc.) and under challenging weather conditions (such as rain or snow).Meeting all DOT and Ben E. Keith standards of safety and compliance regarding the company vehicle as well as when driving and loading or unloading the vehicle.Maintaining designated backstock area at customer locations; ensuring the area is organized and free of trash.Projecting a friendly, professional image at all times.Attending meetings as required.Prioritizing multiple, competing priorities.Maintaining and keeping clean assigned company vehicle at all times.Performing other duties as assigned.Assisting with the delivery of Ben E. Keith Beverage products to customers.Filling in for any driver (vacation, open position, etc.) as needed.Job Qualifications:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Able to coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitments.Good oral and written communication skills and ability to participate well in a team environment.Highly motivated and results-oriented, with strong attention to detail.Organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.Must be able to read and write English.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.Basic computer skills preferred.Ability to work in various weather conditions.Must be 21 yrs. or older to apply.Ability to operate/drive a single axle truck with a 27 ft. trailer.Position requires a Texas Class A CDL driver’s license with a clean MVR.High school graduate or GED required.Benefits:
