Position Summary:Act as the SCO (School Certifying Official) for Franklin Pierce University. Administer all veteran and military educational benefit programs ensuring the university's compliance. Perform various day-to-day office administrative functions. Maintain student records in the Registrar's Office and communicate appropriate information to constituents. Contribute to managing the registrar and graduation email accounts and transcript and DegreeVerify processing. Provide strong customer assistance to include phone, email and in-person service. Protect the confidentiality of student information in accordance with university policy and FERPA.Essential Functions:Administer all veteran and military educational benefit programs as the SCO for Franklin Pierce University.Manage all aspects of all veteran and military educational benefit programs at the University. Coordinate/Manage all student enrollment certifications.Ensure that the university is in compliance with regard to all veteran and military educational benefit programs.Work collaboratively with colleagues in IT, SFS and IR to meet all reporting requirements and deadlines.Coordinate the coding and tracking of all Veteran and military personnel at the University.Management of the registrar and graduation email accounts, transcript & DegreeVerify processing, receiving of graduation applications and regular office administrative functions.Monitor the registrar email account; process or redirect inquiries as necessary.Assist in managing transcript request processing including send and receive with the National Student Clearinghouse and other vendors.Assist in managing National Student Clearinghouse DegreeVerify request processing.Oversee and disseminate appropriately all correspondence regarding veteran and military educational benefit programs.Position Requirements:A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Two years of demonstrated administrative or management experience with at least one year of experience with veterans and military educational benefits is required.The individual must have a desire to serve students and faculty in a personable and professional manner; possess strong interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to think and work both independently and as part of an office team.Has a mastery of the Microsoft Office software package and is proficient with student databases, related report-writers and security requirements.The successful individual is ethical, detail oriented, self-motivated, intuitive and pro-active and is capable of interpreting, explaining, following, applying and enforcing policies and procedures.A demonstrated flexibility and competency in assessing priorities and managing a wide variety of activities in a time sensitive environment is desired.Benefits:At Franklin Pierce University, we take pride in providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to support the well-being and security of our valued employees.
