Business Development Officer

for the Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico market to join our Credit Union. As a Business Development Officer, you are responsible for strengthening existing Select Employer Group (SEG) relationships, developing new business partnerships, share financial literacy resources and tools, and promoting a positive community image for the Credit Union. You'll determine potential SEG prospects and acquisitions. You'll share potential products, services enhancements and opportunities with appropriate project teams based on SEG and market interactions. You'll support business development strategies and goals, including metrics, and reporting. You'll build Credit Union business through networking, call programs, marketing materials and participation in expos/events.To thrive in this role, you should have

three to five years

of similar or related business development and account management experience and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing or related field. This position is one part relationship building and business management. This might be the role for you if you enjoy work requiring interpersonal relationships, public speaking, and multitasking.Key Skills and Experience:Experience in direct sales with a proven track record, experience in lead generation, strategic planning, market analysis, and public speaking preferred.Willingness to learn industry specific understanding of Membership Development including an understanding of NCUA compliance, regulations, Select Employer Group programs field of Membership criteria, and documentation.Advanced relationship building and communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver an effective presentation, presenting the benefits of the Credit Union’s membership, unique products and services, and overcome objectionsMust be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information, and handle problem resolution.Effectively communicate with internal and external partners appropriately via in person, email, etc.Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.Builds and supports a positive Credit Union image and visibility with SEGs, members, and in the community by volunteering, attending events, and participating on approved committees and boards.Maintains all reporting requirements of activity and goal attainment including monthly metrics reporting and relationship management tracking in the credit unions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department.Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.Nusenda Credit Union is an equal opportunity employer.
