www.publicconsultinggroup.com .Our Education team offers consulting services and technology solutions to help schools, school districts, and state education agencies promote student success, improve programs and processes, and optimize financial resources.Position OverviewThe Senior Consultant will take a client-centric view and apply a consultative approach to understanding and solving complex problems faced by state and local education agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of strategies that expand PCG’s impact on teaching and learning across the New Jersey and New York region.Duties and ResponsibilitiesServes as a valued, trusted partner to state and local agency clients.Helps clients devise forward-looking visions and strategic plans.Builds and maintains strong professional networks within the education sector.Understands and serves as an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements.Independently manages complex projects with limited supervision.Develops and leads effective communication plans with client agencies.Identifies and elicits requirements from key stakeholders.Serves as a subject matter expert within the practice.Develops and executes new growth strategies.Identifies new sales opportunities and follow-up on leads.Plans and monitors ongoing project tasks.Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members.Assesses best practices and provides technical assistance to clients.Leads proposal writing teams and prepares proposal submissions.Mentors, supervises, and develops junior staff members.Manages daily project functions and client interaction.Required SkillsDeep working knowledge of K-12 public school systems within New Jersey and/or New York.Ability to engage and develop strong relationships with agency executives and stakeholders.Strong quantitative skills and ability to analyze and interpret data.Ability to research and interpret policy and regulations.Able to work independently and achieve excellent results.Outstanding oral and written presentation skills.Demonstrated initiative to create new business opportunities.QualificationsBachelor degree or 10 years’ experience required, graduate degree preferred.5-10 years’ relevant work experience.Supervisory ResponsibilityBusiness Analyst, ConsultantsWorking ConditionsRemote - NJ Remote or NY Remote.
