The open position is for an associate based in our New York, Dallas, Chicago, Houston, or Boston office within the Transaction Advisory Services practice. As a professional in the group, you will be teamed with a highly talented and dedicated group of M&A financial and tax due diligence professionals on an investment banking platform. You will develop and extend your financial, business development, and interpersonal skills as you perform M&A financial due diligence related to the purchase and sale of private and public companies while greatly increasing your professional network.Responsibilities & Deliverables:Drive discussions with senior client executives and target managementManage team members (Analysts) on engagementsReview target company financial information and other data to identify:Historical and projected financial and operating trendsQuality of earningsWorking capital and net debt considerationsPotential liabilities and risks impacting valuation and negotiationDevelop operational insights utilizing data & analytics to analyze profitability drivers and evaluate key risks and opportunitiesDraft and review tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings and operational insightsReview financial models including database systemsDevelop professional network and relationships with firm, client, and target professionalsReview transaction agreements, customer and supplier contracts and develop valuation considerationsCollaborate closely with corporate finance, valuation, and financial restructuring colleaguesBasic Qualifications:Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution3+ years of financial due diligence experience (or a combination with audit experience, which must include at least 2 years of financial due diligence), preferably with a Big 4 firmCPAPreferred Qualifications:Highly motivated with an exceptional work ethicDemonstrated professional achievement and client service excellenceHealthcare transaction advisory experienceStrong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesStrong analytical abilitiesExceptional verbal and written communication skillsStrong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointFamiliarity with Tableau, Alteryx, and data analytics packages preferredWillingness to travelSalary Range:
